The number is a skill estimate, not a points total — it moves on who beat whom, so beating stronger players is worth more.
± band is how unsure we still are — wide for newcomers, narrowing as they play.
Games is how many matches back the number. It matters: a rating is a rough guess under 15 games (marked Sementara) and only settles with volume. Someone who plays often has a number you can trust; a rare player sits low until they rack up games — even if they're good.
